Gwangju Uncheonsa Rock-carved Seated Buddha

Uncheonsa is a Taegojong temple beside the Baekseoksan walking path in Geumho-dong. The small temple hall, Daeungjeon, houses a seated stone carving of a Buddha, the Maaeyeorae Jwasang. Visitors can sit in meditation for about 30 minutes, and the temple can also be reached by a nearer route other than the one shown on maps. The parking lot is small, so cars must be parked on the surrounding roads.
