The royal tomb sits on the slopes of Namsan in Tapdong, Gyeongju. It is a round earthen mound 5.3 meters high and 15 meters in diameter, ringed with natural stones. Ilseongwang ruled from 134 to 154, defended against Malgal invasions, and encouraged agriculture. The name is not settled because the tomb may be that of Gyeongae Wang.
