Chilburam is a Silla-era hermitage and rock-carved Buddha group in Bonghwagol, below the southern peak of Namsan in Gyeongju. Seven Buddhas are carved there, including the Amitabha triad on a large boulder and the four-directional Buddhas on the stone in front. It is National Treasure No. 312 within the Namsan district of the Gyeongju Historic Areas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the site connects to the Sinseonam rock-carved bodhisattva and an open view of the East Sea. The hiking trail is long and the final staircase is steep, making it difficult to stop by briefly from the summit.
