Gyeongju Namsan Tapgok Maebulsanggun

The Rock-carved Buddha Statues of Tapgok are on the eastern slope of Namsan in Gyeongju, next to Okryongam. A large boulder is carved with Buddha figures, bodhisattva figures, flying figures, a nine-story pagoda and a seven-story pagoda. From the public parking lot below Okryongam, the walk takes about 15 minutes, and you can circle the boulder. Because the carvings are old, the faces of the Buddhas are heavily worn.
