Jongno Library sits on a hill near Seochon in Seoul and is a public library for reading books and finding materials. It holds a range of books in its philosophy, language and literature, humanities, and science rooms, and also hosts events and exhibitions. It opened on December 20, 1945, and held a plaque unveiling and ceremony for its 100th anniversary in 2020. After remodeling, the reading chairs were changed to sofa style, which makes sitting and reading for long periods uncomfortable.
