National Research Institute of Maritime Heritage

The National Research Institute of Maritime Heritage is a national exhibition hall near Gatbawi in Mokpo that displays the Sinan ship and underwater artifacts. It shows relics salvaged from a sunken ship in the waters off Sinan, a reconstruction of the actual wreck, and media art. The permanent exhibition is divided into four rooms, and viewing only Halls 1 and 2 takes an hour each. Free parking holds about 40 cars, which is not enough during events or construction.
