Shinkyogoku Shopping Street runs between Sanjo-dori and Shijo-dori in central Kyoto, an arcade-style commercial district with clothing and goods shops and food stalls. Souvenir shops, Japanese lifestyle stores, and vintage and secondhand shops sit together, so the range of items to look through is wide. A covered walkway runs along the roughly 500-meter street, making it easy to move around on rainy days. Street food tends to be expensive.
