Mammamia Bakery is a cafe near Jungang Market in Sokcho. Its signature item is Portuguese-style egg tarts, and it also sells financiers and madeleines. Egg tarts are reserved in advance by text message and then picked up, and warming them brings out more of their nutty flavor. By around 1 p.m. the bread is nearly gone, so reservations are needed a day ahead.
